Transformation Montgomery
March 5, 2014
Ash Wednesday
Christ died to take away our sins, not our minds

(Today is the first day of Lent, in the Church calendar it is the liturgical season of preparation for Easter. The liturgical color for lent is purple, therefore the newsletter is purple. The word lent literately means spring)

Often, people deny themselves something during lent, however, rather than giving up something for lent, try taking something up for Lent. Join Christ on Thursdays during the month of March at Garden Square as His ministry reaches out to our marginalized brothers and sisters in North Montgomery.

We gather as usual this Thursday at 8:30

This morning, I was blessed to be able to participate with my son in an Ash Wednesday service at Holy Cross Episcopal School, which included the celebration of the Eucharist.

I encourage you to attend an Ash Wednesday Service today.
Frazer will have an Ash Wednesday service tonight at 6 pm in the main sanctuary.
