Transformation Montgomery

December 12th, 2013

Proverbs 31:8-9
New Living Translation (NLT)
Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves; ensure justice for those being crushed. Yes, speak up for the poor and helpless, and see that they get justice.

Please, join us in making a difference in this world and be a co-creator with God by allowing Him to use your hands and feet.

Using our hands to worship through service will begin at 8:30

Prayer at 10:00 – water will be served

Benediction and sending forth at 12:00

This week we will gather at 3612 Erwin.  At the Transformation Center, if hands are available we will remove old duct work and HVAC units from two areas. Our main focus for the this month will be getting 3612 Erwin ready for our new resident.  Our target  date to have her  home ready is  the Day of Epiphany (January 6th).

Great news for December 2014, Khristen Carlsen will be our lay coordinator for our Christmas Store.  She has already begun work for next year. Khristen brings a dynamic commitment to Christ and believes we were called to make the world a better place by applying God’s favorite word, LOVE.  We express our love for God by loving actions towards his children, our brothers and sisters.

Last Thursday we had the universal body of Christ ministering in the Garden. There brothers and sisters from the Baptist denomination, the Presbyterian denomination, a non-denomination fellowship, the Catholic Church and from Frazer. There were men, women and youth serving.  The age range of the ministers was 15 to 71. We had African- Americans, Euro- Americans and Latin-Americans serving God shoulder to shoulder. The Body of Christ comes together in the Garden, My prayer is that Transformation Montgomery will be a unconditional universal body of love.

Neil Epler joined us in prayer at the Center last week. Please, join us Thursday in person or spirit at 10 o’clock at 3528 Manley as we pray to God for direction and humility.

Our Transformation men’s group will start to meet in January.  George Goodwyn Jr. leads a men’s Bible study on Tuesday mornings at Oak Grove. George said 11 years ago he attended the  Authentic Manhood study lead by John Ed and John Schmidt. One night after the study, he committed his life to Christ in his car in the parking lot at Frazer. Now, 11 years later he will start a new men’s Bible study in north Montgomery using the structure that George applies.  God keeps building His Kingdom through those who answer His call and are willing to be one His building blocks.

New area of ministering will be announced in the next coming weeks. God may be calling you.

Hope to see you at 8:30 at 3528 Manley or join me at 7:00 for a men’s Bible study on top of the Goode Building at Jackson Hospital.
