Volunteer Update: Week of Feb. 5, 2013

ALERT: 80% possibility of rain Thursday. Exterior Painting project cancelled. But there is a blessing in this cancellation: Robert Turner has volunteered to paint the exteriors of these three houses. Praise God and thank you Robert. He truly is a blessing that blesses. There is a silver lining in the darkest cloud. God just keeps providing. When the interiors are finished, Melissa Snowden’s Bible study have volunteered the handle painting those homes.

The Discovery Sunday School class at Frazer will doing a special rehab project on the Great Day of Service (April 13). I recall that when Kim Bullard and I started the Great Day of Service that the Discovery SS caught the vision. They not only served at Life Tech that one day of the Great Day of Service but continued ministering a Life Tech regularly for several years. They are a serving class that walks out their faith. I am looking at them being true TRANSFORMERS. They make the world a different place. Jerry Kemp (their former teacher) was a great minister, he taught them well.

Weather permitting we will be serving in the Garden Thursday. Project will start at 8:30 a.m. at 3616 Manley Drive and 3612 Manley Drive.
